Saying Goodbye to Painful IUD Insertions

We are thrilled to announce the UK launch of carevix®, the innovative cervical stabiliser designed to transform transcervical procedures by significantly reducing pain and bleeding. carevix® offers a gentler alternative to the traditional tenaculum, significantly improving comfort for patients while maintaining ease of use for healthcare professionals.

A Modern Solution for Transcervical Procedures

carevix® is engineered to stabilise the cervix using vacuum technology, effectively and comfortably holding it with a soft-lipped, anatomically shaped head. This eliminates the need to perforate cervical tissue, thereby reducing trauma associated with pain and bleeding commonly experienced by patients during procedures such as IUD insertions, hysteroscopies, and endometrial biopsies.

Clinical studies have demonstrated that carevix® can reduce pain and bleeding by up to 73% and 83%, respectively 1. Furthermore, 96% of healthcare practitioners found it easy to use, with 77% reporting time savings compared with using a tenaculum after 20 procedures 2.

Recognised Excellence

Its innovative design and impact on women's health have been recognised globally, including numerous broadcast and press features on NBC news, Women’s Health, Forbes and more, as well as being named one of TIME's Best Inventions of 2024.

It has also become a viral sensation on social media with over 3 million views on one TikTok video, with thousands expressing excitement and eagerness for the much-needed innovation.

Crucially, carevix® has received approval from the UK's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and holds the CE Mark for Europe.

First UK Adoption

Peterborough City Hospital, part of the Northwest Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, was the first UK hospital to adopt carevix® in 2024 as part of the carevix® Ambassador Program.

21 centres of excellence across 9 countries participated in the program. Analysis of the data showed high clinician and patient satisfaction in real-world use, with 96% of clinicians

declaring carevix® is easy to use and 94% patient satisfaction overall 2.
